QUALITY IMPROVEMENT CELL
The Quality Improvement Cell is implemented to enhance the teaching and learning Experience. As per the direction of the Commissioner of Technical Education and Director/ Centre for Faculty Development, Anna University, Chennai Quality Improvement Cell has been created.
Ø Quality Improvement Cell has been formed for the students to promote self learning and to learn beyond syllabus.
Ø Quality Improvement Cell motivates the faculty to utilize video Lectures of NPTEL in classroom apart from text book and board. This makes the learning process effective. Learning strategies like seminar and group discussion are adopted.
Ø Computers with internet facility are available in Net lab and library. Students can make use of it in their free time and even after college hours.
Ø In the curriculum library hour is allotted for the students to develop their reading skills.
Ø Bridge courses are conducted for students to bridge the gap between students and faculty members.
Ø Association Activities, Guest Lectures, Conferences and workshops are conducted for students to provide platform for technical discussion.
Ø Students are motivated to make use of the facilities available in the college.
v Faculty members are encouraged to attend conferences , seminars and workshop to update themselves
v Faculty members are motivated to submit articles in reputed journals and they are awarded for their submission.
v Orientation Programme is arranged for newly joined faculty to upgrade them.
